TOKYO解放区 (TOKYO kaihouku) Shinjuku Isetan Store, known for it's unique projects to spread TOKYO culture, has announced another interesting project! The name of the project is "un-gender@TOKYO解放区 by MIKIOSABE", and with "genderless" as it's concept, the theme for the project is "Fashion that expresses the one's charm as a person".
In this project, an androgynous male will be stepping to the world of the girly brand "MIKIOSABE". MIKIOSABE, designed by Mikio Sakabe and Shueh Jen Fang, is known for it's usage of lace and it's unique Japanese girly world view. By combining a girly brand and an androgynous male the project is aiming to express free values that aren't limited by genders, and beauty that exceeds the differences between sexes.
The male model for this project will be Takeru, who is well known for his career as the vocalist of a visual-kei band SuG and as the designer for million$orchestra.
